What is life at Tribute like?

Our community encourages a full and vibrant life. We offer a variety of activities for residents and family members to enjoy. The food is delicious, colorful and nutritious. Families will have peace of mind knowing their loved ones are cared for by our supportive and professional team members in a home-like environment.

Tribute properties, now managed by Cadence Living are made of a highly respected team of professionals devoted to providing high-quality living environments. Our progressive approach focuses on health, wellness and living styles that respect individual preferences while providing supportive services to help people live their best life.


What community amenities do you offer?

While each Tribute community offers specific services and amenities to that location, in general our locations all include:

  • Full dining, coffee, tea service and snacks available throughout the day.
  • Housekeeping.
  • Personal laundry.
  • Local transportation.
  • All utilities (including HD cable and High-Speed Internet).
  • Basic care.
  • Full activity calendar of social and recreational programs.

We are a community that offers assisted living and memory care. Tribute communities have everything that seniors in the greater DC area need to receive high-quality, licensed care at the right level of support for them. For seniors living with dementia, Tribute offers specialized care with a therapeutic focus, all within a secure community that looks and feels like home.

We believe health and fitness shouldn’t be separate from the rest of life but naturally woven into it. At Tribute, we make it easy to stick to wellness goals with healthy menu options, engaging activities and spacious living spaces where residents love to stroll and chat with friends.


What are your visiting hours?

Tribute Communities are open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. As a residential community, there are no scheduled visiting hours. However, out of respect to those living in the community, we request that visitors generally keep to an 8AM–8PM visiting schedule. If visiting outside those hours, please notify our staff so that we can let you in when the front doors are secured. To ensure the safety of our community, all visitors, including vendors, are required to sign in at the front desk.

Is smoking allowed at Tribute?

Smoking is not allowed; we are a smoke-free community.


What is included in the monthly rent?

The monthly fee includes full dining, coffee, tea service and snacks available throughout the day; housekeeping; personal laundry; local transportation; utilities (except cable and phone); and a full activity calendar of social and recreational programs. We charge a community fee deposit (a type of entry fee).


Is there a reservation list?

Yes, depending on our availability and the desired move-in date.


What makes the Memory Care program unique?

We recognize every individual is unique, and we don’t expect that to change just because their memory has. We create programs throughout the community based on the rhythm of life, and in our memory care program, we take it a few steps further. We take a flexible approach, so programming can flow with the ups and downs each day brings.

Our activities are founded upon the Seven Dimensions of Wellness, which are social, emotional, spiritual, environmental, occupational, intellectual and physical. We enjoy adapting to the sometimes-unexpected needs of our residents, and we think they do too.


What services do you offer in Assisted Living?

Some of our residents in Assisted Living simply require assistance managing medications, while others need various levels of care. We can assist residents with Activities of Daily Living such as showering, dressing, grooming and even escorts to dining and activities. Each resident has a personalized service plan that is updated regularly to meet changing needs.


How is my level of care determined?

Our Resident Services Director assesses each resident’s care needs to create a personalized service plan that determines their level of care. Assessments are done prior to move-in, 30 days after move-in and as needed to ensure everyone receives as much or as little care as they need.


What kind of training do your care team members receive?

Our caregivers have completed care aid training programs as approved by the Virginia Department of Medical Assistance Services and the Maryland State approved training program.


Are pets allowed?

Yes! We are a pet-friendly community that welcomes residents’ dogs, cats, birds and fish. All animals must be approved by the Executive Director, who determines acceptable pet residency. For the safety and comfort of all residents and guests, residents are responsible for their pets at all times and must adhere to the pet policy.
